In our project participated students from six culinary high schools in Poland. As a part of the project group of 75 students along with 8 teachers from: - Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych im. Bohaterów Monte Cassino in Lubień, - Zespół u Szkół No 3 Rolnicze Centrum Kształcenia Ustawicznego im. Stanisława Staszica in Łosice, - Zespół Szkół Agrotechnicznych in Mińsk Mazowiecki. - Zespół Szkół im. Marii Grodzickiej w Lubrańcu in Marysin, - Zespół Szkół Rolniczych im. mjr Henryka Dobrzańskiego - Hubala in Sokółka, - Zespół Szkół No 3 im. Legionistów Miasta Pabianic in Pabianice. spent two weeks in Greece. The students gained the job experience in the best Greek restaurants the region of Thessaly. This experience helped them in the development of the professional and language skills. The chosen region is known as a tourist resort therefore the food service and hotel business play an important role it theirs economy. The students travelled along with their teachers, who all the time took care of the groups. The internships was held from 18/9/2015 to 25/10/2015 on (the students were arriving to Greece in smaller groups, each group for two weeks). The internships were held during the winter break, to not interfere with the school activities. The apprentices were supervised by: Hotel KOKKINO NERO mobility centre - based in Larissa. The organization have experience in the implementation of EU projects and the organising high quality internships. During the internships students had opportunity to familiarize themselves with international labour standards. Internship program was a direct response to their interest and desire to work in a culturally different region of Europe. The practice learning English is necessary to them in their future professional careers. Greece is full of tourists from different corners of the world. She is also a good place to learn foreign languages. The overseas experience is an important asset in future job search. Employees who speak very good English and have foreign experience are particularly in demand in the labour market. The confirmation of the skills acquired during the internship is certified by the Europass Mobility document. Certificates contain information related to professional qualifications, language and the ability to work in a group.
