Date du début: 1 juil. 2015, Date de fin: 30 juin 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project “Together for a successful European school” corresponds to the main aims input in the development strategy of our school SOU”Saint Kliment Ohridski” and in the context of European dimension of education and training. The common aim of the project is to improve the quality of the educational services provided by the school, to raise the motivation and achieve better efficiency of the foreign language teaching. The specific aims of this project is to upgrade the language competence of eight of the teachers, improve their skills for creating, adapting and applying of innovative pedagogical methods as well as enriching their experience in the field of the modern theories and practices in the language teaching. The suggested participants are eight, selected on the basis of their experience, motivation and awareness towards the school policy for improving the educational process quality. Among our candidates there is a junior teacher, a teacher, five senior teachers and one head teacher. In regard to their professional experience we have three groups: two participants with under 3 years of experience, four- with up to 20 years and two- with over 20 years teaching experience. Three of them also have a professional qualification level-V,IV and II. Seven of the participants have Master’s Degree and one has Bachelor’s. In the last three years all the participants have gone through short-term qualification forms with topics associated with diverse aspects of the pedagogical competences. The project includes the realization of mobility education in an accepting country- The UK, considering the specific needs with practically oriented qualification. The chosen courses are: “Methodology and language for Primary teachers” for two candidates, teaching English at Primary school and one candidate who teaches English at all levels including Pre-school groups; “Life In Britain-Bringing British Culture in the Classroom” for one candidate who teaches all levels and one in Secondary school only; “Creative Methodology” for one Secondary school teacher and two teachers of all levels. The realization of this mobility will present an opportunity to fulfill main deficit aspects of the education, namely the need for creating, adapting and applying of innovative methods and approaches, increasing students’ motivation and enhancing the process of mastering a foreign language. Having analyzed the current situation and needs of our language teachers, we defined as a pivot point the improvement of the teachers’ qualification in a friendly foreign language environment. This method of acquiring and mastering knowledge and skills corresponds both to the attitude of the selected candidates and the requirements imbedded in the school strategic development plan. The execution of the planned mobility will lead to immediate results in both directions, i.e. professional development for the teachers and corresponding influence over the consumers of our services, namely students and children. . The readiness of the participants to share the acquired knowledge and skills with the other colleagues in a number of training sessions and seminars, brings added (additional) value to the project. The process of constant control and monitoring by the school coordinator throughout all the stages of the project, i.e. preparation, performance and report, will provide a good ground for clear evaluation of both quality and success of the project. Expected results and influence of the project activities the following:-the establishment of a language teacher network for sharing ideas, experience and methods, including training activities such as” Teachers training teachers” -increased capacity of the participants in the mobility for a better and more qualitative foreign language education. -increased students’ interest and motivation for more active participation in the educational process. -multiplication effect of the acquired skills for creation, selection, adaptation and application of the innovative teaching techniques. -increased motivation of the pedagogical staff for applying more creative approaches in the daily teaching routine. -better students’ results in foreign language teaching. -increased intercultural awareness The realization of the project and the accomplishment of the input aims will potentially lead to an increased interest towards the European mobility opportunities both among teachers and Secondary school students.
