The mobility in Europe offers next development of professional skills of pupils, obtaining practice of graduates in prospering hotels and restaurant in Great Britain. Because of these mobilities, the participants improve their position on the labour market. Tourism undergoes the dynamic development and changes on many levels. The success of our students depends on the ability to react flexibly on these changes in business and also to obtain experience in tourism business in the EU. The practice provides our students with further vocational and personal training. Their self-confidence and communication skills grow. We await deeper interest in the profession, rising cultural and general awareness. It encourages the students to learn during the whole life. The project reacts on the situation on the labour market. The purpose is to balance the requirements of employer and the skills of our students, which would prevent lifelong unemployment. The main aim is to apply the skills in the real environment - prosperous hotels and restaurants of the EU. Moreover, the intention is to decrease the number of students who do not finish their studies. Language proficiency is also an integral part of the project because we want to enable students to take part in EVS or voluntary service after finishing studies at our school.
We are going to support 24 students in the following professions: cook, waiter, hairdresser, beautician in their effort to get professional qualification. We want to improve our students´ ability to speak and practice foreign languages in real environment, to help them to get international experience and understand what European citizenship is about. The participant will be chosen according to their professional and communication skills and it will be put the emphasis on their socil background. We want to enable the students who are coming from the low social background in their effort to get prestigious practice abroad and contribute to lifelong learning.
Before this practice we are going to sign contracts and prepare unit of learning on which students are going to work . Every internship will ensure one unit of learning. An accompanied person will check the students at their workplace. Mentoring will be provided.
The pupils are going to undergo the practice in the real workplace and do the course focused on communication and solving the problematical situation at the workplace.
The partner abroad is the warranty of the study visit - it was the best provider of practice in 2012 and it was among the final competitors in 2013. It contributes to everyday working culture of the country and provides the participants an improved CV.
From the lifelong point of view we can see the main contribution in learning English and getting self-confidence. Thanks to this cooperation, we want to increase the connection among formal, nonformal, professional training and labour market. The important part is also recognition of ECVET standards.
