The participants of the project were members of structured courses in English language in Canterbury. The aim of these courses was to recieve knowledge and skills how to work with CLIL method and also to improve English language and use it in education. One member of the project, the teacher of the first grade was taking a part in a course about the CLIL method, another teacher of Slovak and German languages was in a course to improve English language which was rich on the methods and forms which can be used in common education. The particpants were not only taking a part in those courses but also were making contacts with other participants from different countries and also were dealing experiences and knowledge which was a big profit. The participants of the courses are in contact with teachers from Poland, Austria, and Germany. The teachers also met with realia of English countries which they presented to pupils and it helps to make autentical images.
The project which our school was taking a part in was positive not only for the participants, organisation but we can also say that for pupils of our school. The absolvents of the courses reached competences and skills which were good not only for their personal life but also for their educational benefit. The content which the participants reached also motivated our pupils to learn English more. The information which the participants reached shared with their colleagues on teachers´meetings. They also joined the form and methods to education which they reached on stuctured courses. They published articles in newspapers, magazines and on websites. They try to join English in education and share the project also during the radio stations or theater programmes with the language elements.
A long – term benefits for our organisation is a popularization of our school because the teachers work intensive with education of foreign languages and also motivate students to learn languages in the future. Many our students study at secondary schools with languages and bilingual schools. The benefits that we can see for a long period is also an activity and motivation the teachers to work on themselves and using contacts from other european countries during the e-mails.
