The aims of the project: gaining professional experience and developing language and social competences. It is coherent with assumptions of the Erasmus+ program. It is supposed to raise the level of key competences and skills adjusted to the labour market needs, as well as improve language skills, promote the linguistic and cultural diversity and broaden the dimension to training and education. The participants of the project are 72 students of the second, third and fourth class of technical secondary school who specialize in: economics, tourist service, hotel industry, nutrition and catering services. All of them study English. After the end of recruitment process wide-ranging preparatory classes are going to start. After its completion participants will go abroad on 3 week internships. In 2014/2015 one group will go to Italy and the other one to Portugal. Each of them will number 18 interns and 2 tutors. Identical groups will take part in the internship program in the following year 2015/2016. After the end of internship program and come back to school, participants will fill in the reports in the online system, prepare the presentations and photo gallery presenting their work, alternatively also other materials which could be used to promote the results of the project. The last stage of the project is the final conference. It does not mean, however, that the project ends in this point. Its results will influence on the participants for a long time at the professional, as well as, personal level. The following hard results are planned: - realizing the cultural preparation, which allows the participants to get to know visited countries as well as pedagogical preparation, aiming at teaching them how to cope with difficult situations under pressure and those caused by the unknown environment, insufficient level of language competences etc. - completing the language course (Italian/ Portugal) - completing the school vocational placement - awarding the certificates confirming the completion of the language course and acquisition of new language abilities - awarding the certificates issued by the sending institution, confirming the participation in the cultural and pedagogical preparation classes - awarding the certificates, issued by the receiving institution, confirming the completion of the internship program - awarding the Europass Mobility documents - completing the bartender course by the students who specialize in catering and hotel industry Soft results: - acquisition and development of qualifications, stronger chances of the participants on the labour market - improving language qualifications - acquiring teamwork skills in multicultural environment - increasing student self-esteem - higher motivation to learn - getting to know the culture and customs of the receiving country - acquiring new information and communication skills - acquiring new skills in the field of controlling the machines and operation of devices - acquiring new skills in the field of preparing the documents and financial management - raising the students professional and personal aspirations - higher tolerance for different customs and code of conduct - increasing the level of dutifulness and self-discipline - developed networking abilities Material results of the project: - presentations showing the project from different points of view - photo gallery, created by the participants - alternatively blogs of the participants - collection of attractive recipes, prepared by the students - materials for the evaluation process, which could be used in the future While realizing the project we will apply the methodology developed up to now. It is based on the clear division of tasks and responsibilities between employees and on the rule of constant supervision of the director over all project activities. The documentation will be compiled from the initial stage of the project (drawing up the fundamental principles) until the last one, which includes dissemination process and administrative closure of the project. Each project team member will have the scope of duties clearly specified. The internship program will influence significantly on participants. The effects are as follows: higher degree of self dependence, self-esteem, self confidence and personal development. Team work in the international environment will contribute to better understanding of the value of cultural diversity in Europe. Having observed the changes in participants’ attitude, other students will be encouraged to make efforts to broaden their theoretical and practical background, as well as gain professional experience before completion of technical secondary education. Thanks to the realization of the project, ZSP 4 in Jaworzno, as the main organizer, will deepen their experience in international cooperation and boost their recognition among the youths, which should be reflected in the higher results of the recruitment process.
