So often we hear that youth is the future. We do not believe in this. We believe youth is the present, youth is now, and youth deserves to be heared. Youth workers are important facilitators in order to empower young people to add volume to their voices, and by this project we wish to explore this further from a cultural perspective. We wish to apply for a youth leader exchange project between Tromsø and Palestine that we have chosen to call "Expression-Exchange" , for the period August-December 2015. Through this project we wish to build on previous successfull cooperation between the main partners Tvibit, Kulta and Rådstua in Tromsø and Tamer Institute in Palestine. Consequently we wish to go more into depth in learning more about each others methods within youth work, stage art and writing in both a practical and structural level, and continue to explore the combination of writing and stage art methodically and pedagogically in a new project together. Furthermore, we would also be interested in looking into a possible extension of the cooperation to also include film, as the combination film, text and stage art is something in great interest in both Palestine and Tromsø. Thus we also view this project as a vital stepping stone in order to prepare the basis for a long-term sustainable cooperation focusing on raising youth voices by art and culture. As such the main objectives of the project are as follows: 1: Youth empowerment by empowering youth leaders 2: Improved competences for youth workers in Tromsø and Palestine 3:Enhance the international dimensions of youth activities in Tromsø and Palestine
