"Youthpass - youth path" Erasmus+ Programme Key Action1 project for youth workers aims to improve exchange of the best practices in youth work in Europe, partnership between youth organisations and enhance quality of training and youth work in Europe. The main topic for this project is Youthpass as certificate of the recognition of non-formal education and also learning process of youth workers and young people. Every country on earth is currently reforming public education and within this transition phase non-formal education and intercultural learning are spreading out. Always more, governments recognize them as key elements for civil society development. One of the most debated issues is the recognition of non-formal competences. Since 2007, year when the Youthpass was launched, youth workers and professionals in the youth field have been seeking on familiarizing with such tool, and of course, not without concerns and disputes. Participants of this project will share their experience and best practices from non-formal education when work on 8 key competences and on Youthpass which can be and often is path to future education and employability. Specific objectives of "Youthpass - your path" project are:- To familiarize participants with the concept of Youthpass as learning program and its possibilities within the outside of Erasmus+ Programme.- To explore the 8 key competences in details. - To develop participant’s competences in planning non-formal education with particular attention on structured learning processes.- To set up strategies for the better recognition of youth work and non-formal education.- To share tools and methods from partners' and other organisations in order to support young people self-learning and self-assessment. This project is designed in a way that has preparatory stage on June-July 2016, the training course for youth workers in Taevaskoja, Estonia on July 24-31, 2016 and follow-up and dissemination activities on August-September 2016. 38 youth workers from Estonia, Poland, Romania, UK, Latvia, Italy, Czech Republic, Finland, Austria, Portugal, Bulgaria and Spain will participate in the training course and then will be multipliers of new gained competences in their organisations and countries. Trainers from Estonia and Poland and facilitators from Estonia and UK will run the training course and other project activities. Participants of the training course will be part of "Journey to the Seven Seas" when investigate in deep 8 key competences and also other competences, experiences and practices of non-formal education. Activities will include team-building activities, brainstorms, workshops with presentations and feedbacks, individual and group work, meetings with local youth workers and youth, intercultural evenings, etc. The best methods of non-formal education from partners' organisations will be used. Participatory method, learning by doing, group dynamics, interaction will be used during the training course.The main results of this project will be competences of youth workers in Youthpass as certificate of the recognition of non-formal education and also instrument of the learning process. The participants coming from 12 EU countries will carry their knowledge and experiences to their organisations. This will spread the aims of the project and increase our communication opportunities reaching in non-formal education and Erasmus+ Programme, more young people around these countries and particularly youth with fewer opportunities will benefit from the new experience of participants of this project. Participants of the training course will become agents of change and ambassadors of non-formal education and Youthpass as product and process among young people, youth workers, decision makers, representatives of universities, VET schools and labour market in their communities. Project's E-toolkit will be disseminated in partners and other youth organisations. This will have impact on the quality of youth work. The potential longer term benefits of the project will be seen in better quality of Youthpasses youth workers and their target groups of young people will create after Erasmus+ Programme projects and use for their studies and jobs. By this the project impact will be seen to national and European level.
