Youth Up, sharing talent for Europe

The project has been developed in accordance with the basic guidelines set out in the application submitted: 1) To improve young people’s skills in order to help them in their professional future; these skills include: teamwork, initiative for decision-making, social leadership and multilingualism. 2) To promote leisure and cultural activities designed for young people and focused on enhancing their healthy behaviour. 3) To raise awareness among youngsters of the role they should be able to play in the European integration process, encouraging them to find the means of participation to give them a more important role in Europe. To achieve these ambitious goals, we have had a panel of partners with a long previous experience in youth issues for each of the three lines of action: 1) Mr. Carlos Ongallo, Doctor in Economics and Lecturer in Leadership and Talent Development in several European and American universities, with their monitors. 2) Mr. Javier Muriel by General Coordinator of Activities, Mr. Pablo Garrido, Industrial Engineering and graduate in Piano, coordinator of the 2011’s show "Life, Love & Light", and the collaboration of the group of the Cultural Association Memove. 3) Mr. Ignacio Samper, Director of the Bureau of the European Parliament in Spain. And the permenent support from; Miss. Mº Isabel Muñoz Psicology Master, and Miss. Mª Fernanda Revollo Degree in Political Science The activities have been deployed under active participaticipación format, encouraging new forms of collaborative leadership, and mostly of them performed by out-door workshops. An important part of the activities were carried out at the Monastery of Yuste and its surroundings, exceptional natural environment chosen by the Emperor Carlos V to spend the last years of his life. This historical and testimonial character has served to strengthen the European experience of the encounter. The 53 young people selected from; Germany. Italy, Lithuania, Portugal and Spain, have acquired severals social skills that can serve as a basis for consolidation in the future as European leaders, many of them. They have lived and shared illusions experience with other young people from different countries, including creating a communication environment that will allow them to maintain ties in the future. In the medium term the Web page created for this project YOUTH4EUROPE should form the basis for the creation of a network of youth, to make reality the slogan of the Project, & quot; Sharing Talent for Europe & quot;.
