Youth Unplugged
Date du début: 1 août 2016, Date de fin: 31 oct. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The “Youth Unplugged” project has been prepared by three groups of young people from three eastern European countries – Poland, Lithuania and Czech Republic. It’s goal is to increase the chances of young people soon entering the labour market. It focuses thus on developing so called “soft” skills connected with direct contact between people, which are in regression nowadays due to the overwhelming presence of modern, Internet-based communication technologies. We do not negate the benefits that come with those technologies, however we want to increase the awareness with which young people use them. The means to reaching our goals is organizing a youth exchange, during which we will refrain form using our mobile phones and the Internet and focus on realizing all activities with the stress on direct interactions between participants. This exchange will involve three partner groups and will take place between the 14th and the 23rd of August 2016 in Murzasichle in the Tatra Mountains in Poland. All three groups taking part will consist of 20 participants aged 16 to 22. There will be two leaders in each group – a woman and a man. The same, equal division between sexes we will try to achieve also among participants.During our activities planned in the schedule we will use many non formal learning methods. Most important of which are:- simulation games,- artistic workshops,- dance workshops,- presentations and screenings,- working in various types of groups,- individual work,- field and urban games,- moderated discussions,- oxford debates,- activities involving local communities,- integration games- energizers. The main outcomes of our actions we hope to see in the knowledge, competences and attitudes of young people. They will find out how to use the technology present in their everyday lives more effectively but will also come to understand the limitations and threats it brings. They will also develop team-working skills, learn how to cooperate in multinational environment, increase their self-confidence while solving problems in a new reality as well as gain valuable organizational experience. We also want to prepare a report in a video-diary form documenting the thoughts of the participants about the change in their attitudes and about their experiences in a new, analog reality. We will create a leaflet directed to inform young people such as us about the competences they should try to develop and about the ways they can do that. It will also contain our suggestions on how to use modern technology in our everyday lives more effectively. We will base this material on information form employers which we hope to reach before the exchange. The effects of our actions we will try to promote among a wide range of benefactors. In order to do that we will organize meetings in local and regional educational facilities in our home towns during which we will share our experiences with young people and gather their feedback. Moreover, we will also try to use modern media to widen the range of our influence – by sharing and promoting the video materials and the leaflet created during our project. We hope, that the effects our actions will have a positive influence on increasing the chances of young people on the labour market. We will be monitoring that influence even after the project finishes.
