Youth Training Madeira II

The "Youth Training Madeira II" project; it arises as a continuation of "Youth Training Madeira" project; that was a first successful project between the City of Alzira and Associação Académica da Universidade da Madeira. The Youth Training Madeira II project aims intercultural learning of young people, facilitating joint activities of young people of different nationalities in different cultural environments. The project includes the participation of 2 young unemployed people. The project includes tasks like supporting young people in their educational process through intercultural experiences with college students from other countries of the University of Madeira, as well as collaboration with youth at risk of social exclusion through social activities carried out by Associação Académica da Universidade da Madeira, which aims to help young people with learning disabilities in different training centers linked to universities and the regional government of Madeira, as well as helping young people from Madeira at risk of social exclusion, supporting their studies and training. In this perspective, volunteers will participate in the daily activities of the association, such as support for other youth involved in training university studies. The volunteer will also have the opportunity to participate in the "Jesuit School of Funchal" project and the "History Tellers" project; projects in which the University of Madeira, the association of students and former students are involved. The project objective is to open the University of Madeira through the enhancement of cultural heritage of the building "Jesuit School of Funchal"; nowadays house of the rectory of the University of Madeira and until the twentieth century was the largest building constructed on the island, besides being the first building built outside Europe by the company of Jesus. The project seeks to value the cultural heritage of the University of Madeira through visits, guides, exhibitions, seminars ...... by involving young students of the university, both national and international to cultural richness of Madeira. The planned activities include: Collaborate with the "Jesuit College Funchal" project; Support college athletics, support in edition of the academic journal JA and collaborate in the activities of the organization.
