Youth Summit 2012 Malmö- Come Together!
Date du début: 1 mai 2012,

The 16th-18th September 2012 about 120 young people from Spain, Germany, Hungary, Denmark, Poland, The Netherlands and Sweden, and decision-makers from all over Europe will meet in Malmö under the headline Come Together! The theme of the youth summit will be community and inclusion- in groups, schools, across borders and regions. The youth and decision-makers will through the different workshops and activities work with people from other parts of Europe. Thereby they will get hands-on informal understanding of cultural differences and similarities. Through making a product together they will furthermore gain unique knowledge of what people from different cultures and countries are capable of creating together. With this positive focus we want to make it apparent that cultural differences can be an asset and a possibility - of thinking, producing and working together in new and unique ways. It is also the aim that they, through the structured dialogue of the workshops, get awareness of the many similarities of the youth of Europe, and thus help reducing false preconceptions and prejudice among them. The participants are between 15-30 years of age and have a background of social exclusion from society and the educational system. Thesse young people are very creative but are in need of support, skills and tools to change their life. Many have experienced economic difficulties, learning disabilities, drug abuse, long-term unemployment and no, or limited access to, and success in the educational system. Many of the young people also live in socially and economically deprived areas. In September these young people will participate in, Come Together in Malmö, and maybe for the first time travel outside their country. Thereby we hope to inspire the youth and to strengthen their self-awareness and give them tools and skills to make a positive change in their every-day life and the communities they are part of.
