Youth patients for brighter future
Date du début: 2 mai 2011,

As citizens who are enjoying full rights, young people with medical diseases (young patients) and other disabilities have equal rights and right to dignity, equal treatment, independent living and full participation in public life. Unfortunately because of their disabilities, they are often defined as different from us and are often discriminated against. Very often they are subject to exclusion from society, which manifests itself in various forms. Enabling young people with disabilities and young patients to enjoy these rights is a fundamental objective of long-term EU strategy. They have the same rights as all other citizens in Europe. By the initiative "Young patients-for a brighter future", The National Patient Organization aims by conducting National Youth Meeting, to acquaint young patients and young people with disabilities in the work of health institutions, legislative process, the power of collaboration on local and national level to enable them to participate in the construction of health policy in carrying out initiatives of government authorities, patient organizations, media and society. The project activities envisaged in the Year of Volunteering, to enable them to participate as volunteers in the activities of NGOs and other health institutions in order to build strategies for conducting activities and involvement of disadvantaged people in the organization and implementation, promoting the participation of young patients in health policy at both national and European level through NGOs and similar networks of the European Patient Forum and EPHA. The participation of young people from patient organizations and youth with disabilities across the country, will allow for conducting activities showing their activities and citizenship in different cities, as follow-up.
