The project was born from the observation that young people need opening and out of "to be together" and "think like all people" in their rural areas. Then, young people need to meet and share with their peers from other countries. Finally, young people need to believe in the future and need to see that people dare, engage themselves and create professional activities. Following this observation, the associations MRJC Nord Pas-de-Calais and Curba de Cultura wish to offer young volunteers, the means to meet other cultures and other visions of rural areas. How ? By offering a 2 weeks stay in France for the rural youth become aware that beyond our cultural differences, we live in a common space that is Europe and we, young people, we have the energy to reinventing rural future.Both associations share common values carried around a non-formal education to rural youth. They accompany young people to be agents of change in their territory of life. The associations know itself through the involvement of MRJC volunteers (in training) or an European voluntary service at Curba de Cultura.For this stay, we will pursue four objectives:1 - developing intercultural awareness and opening minds towards different cultures2 - offering models of rural entrepreneurship for young people originating or living in rural backgrounds3 - explore models of participation for young people in rural areas in Romania and France4 - develop and / or improve social - interpersonal and intrapersonal - competencies for the young people involvedThis exchange is open to young people of 15-17 years living in rural areas. In this environment, young people have fewer opportunities to access a cultural offer, to means of mobility or to find a job. 26 participants from both countries will be present at Bailleul (59270), followed by 7 leaders of the two countries. for this stay, both partners apply non-formal education methods: discover social thematics through play, theatrical expression or artistic activities. Our values insists to accompany the young person to take his place because of the young person is actor for his stay. Thus, we will offer time for young people express themselves, give their opinion and may propose activities. In a logic of youth involvement, two steps will be proposed by each associations to : ensure motivation of young people and allow to young people to propose activities. So, after crossbreeding our educational wishes and desires of young people, we managed to create activities that will take place around four modules:1. Express oneself about to stereotypes of each country and discover the culture of each country2. Explore, during a weekend, entrepreneurship in rural areas3. Explore youth participation models4. Listen the young people and let speech, they have a decision-making power in the activitiesThe modules from the objectives will be developed throughout the stay. To approach these modules, we will follow the pace of each and the rhythm of learning of a person. The main activities of this stay : will discover a rural business, in particular agricultural enterprise; the discovery of each of cultures through theater games, roleplays, emotional games and sharing culinary specialties; meet young people who engage themselves in the voluntary sector; creating a show and a meal with the villagers and, more generally, the discovery of the region.Through this exchange, we want young people to make "step aside" and bears another look at the cultures of both countries. We want that the participants are aware that young people in Europe, aspires to a future focused on human and ethical values. We want that young people acquire the tools to act and animate the territory in which they live. We hope that the meeting with regional entrepreneurs permits to arouse desire to stay in rural areas and build its business.This exchange is the first partnership. We wish to continue our educational goals based on the meeting of another culture, the creation of rural activity and youth engagement in 2017. Thus, youth exchange will gather in the summer of 2017, in Prahova, in Romania. We want to create a dynamic between the two associations and the two regions on the theme of rural life and the future of youth in this environment. Supporting youth action for rural areas, share experiences between people living in similar environments and act itself to animate their territories, here are our intentions for this exchange and for the future.
