The European Service will take place in the Youth Information Center (YIC) during 12 months. It is located in Lorient, city of 60 000 inhabitants (6.500 students), located near the sea, in Brittany (France).The YIC of Lorient welcomes daily young people from 16 to 30 years old. It’s a resource centre, our missions are to welcome, inform and support young people in their research and projects. It provides a wide range of services: - Education, work, studies, travels, health, sports, money, employment, careers, rights and entitlements, leisure, travel and European opportunities for young people.- Workshops and projects (forums, prevention activities…)- Online website with daily refreshed informationYIC is part of the Eurodesk network, it is all about providing information on mobility opportunities for young people. We support young people who are interested in living an experience abroad. Since 2012, we are also a sending and a coordinating organization for the young people taking part in the EVS program.The volunteer will be joining the various usual projects of the BIJ, particularly activities about international topic (Mobility, culture, Europe…). He will organize some events, communicate on social media, produce some ressources for the international sector, create videos…TasksThe volunteer’s missions will concern mostly the international axe of activity of our association. Therefore, in line with his project and his motivation, he/she may:- Organize international evening like Cafés globe-trotters : it is a cafe where young person exchange, share their experience abroad, we have also specific café dedicated to EVS.- Produce international ressources (brochures, posters, internet broadcast…)- Use the social medias to communicate about activities of the YIC.- Produce video spots on the activities of the YIC and disseminate through the different Web interfaces- Participate in the promotion of the Erasmus Plus program and the EVS. The volunteers will also being involve into special meetings for supporting youngsters willing to go abroad through the EVS program in order to share their own experience or to provide some advice.- Promote European citizenship and mobility: given our involvement in European projects, the volunteer may participate in shows, forums and other events in which YIC is often presented- the volunteer will have time to work on personal projects, after a phase of adaptation and discovery of the structure and the region
