Youth in Live is a journey for 45 young people from Romania, Italy and Spain through different Spanish cities that Fundación IUVE organizes during summer. We encourage these people to give the best of themselves to propose a new lifestyle that getting better of them, as their leadership and values to change the world offering the quality and social initiatives for a better world through cultural, educational and leisure activities. OBJECTIVES • Encourage an education based on values and non-formal learning, which permit the development of youth’s professional and social aptitudes for their future • Promote an active citizenship which encourages actions with a European and global influence, encourage a European awareness, important for the development of a social cohesion. • Improve professional and linguistic skills of participants and organizers, carrying out the project in English. • Acquire essential skills which contribute to a personal and social-educative development, motivating an active participation in the society. PARTICIPANTS AND PARTICIPATION Participation details • People aged between 18 and 30, from Romania, Italy and Spain, 15 people from each country (14 members + 1 group leader). • The Project took place in the Autonomous Community of Madrid from the 21st to the 29th of July 2015. ACTIVITIES The project’s contents were based on the development of cultural-ludic activities, such as groups of debate, cultural integration activities, cultural visits, conferences, institution visits, activities of analysis and reflection, work groups and workshops. We also pursue the acquisition of linguistic skills, due to an active and intercultural participation, as well as personal improvement and initiative, reinforcing the participants, their abilities and the importance of their role in the current society.
