The main aim of this project is to establish, maintain and make sustainable a training programme, that will allow us to create the next generations of experts and youth workers on EU-Asia (and in particular EU-China) intercultural learning. This EU-China project is based on learning-by-doing, but learning in a highly structured and supported environment. The project, in addition to creating well qualified youth workers, will also contribute a significant body of knowledge and experience in its own right. Thanks to its wide geographical and disciplinary focus, this project will provide an international and intercultural environment for a team of youth workers to connect, reflect, come up with new ideas and propose new projects, both at the local level and network ones. Given the nearing of EU and Chinese realities, such kind of youth workers are in high, and increasing, demand and this project will help to ensure that both Europe and China are able to meet that demand.The proj'ect addresses the following priorities of YiA 3.2 2012: - Youth employment, poverty and marginalisationProjects promoting dialogue, exchange and cooperation in fRēTiēld ofyoūth between the EU~HncJ"Cľms: Attention will be given in particular to projects aiming at ensuring follow-up and sustainability to thecooperation initiated in 2U11 and/or to projects focusing on the promotion of interuulluial dialogue between young people from the EU and China.We will also be looking at working with three permanent priorities of the YiA programme, namely:1. Participation of young people2. Cultural diversity3. Inclusion of people with fewer opportunitiesThe project is centred around 11 main activities taking place in the European partner organisations, in different provinces of China and in South East Asia partner organisations as follows:- Introductory meeting- Study Visit of Chinese organisations in Europe- Pre-departure training for Mid-Term Volunteers-16 MTV are exchanged between partner organisations- Evaluation of the MTV activities and youth leaders training (Academy of Non-Formal Education Sample)- 2 Academies of Non-Formal Education organised locally by each partner- Final evaluation seminarThe geographic scope of this project includes two regions: Europe (EU and associated countries) and Asia(with a main emphasis on China). We foresee participation of:8 European organisations based in Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, France, Scotland, Cyprus, Turkey.6 Chinese organisations from very different and diverse provinces, including Hong Kong.2 South East Asian organisations based in Cambodia and Vietnam.Apart of realisation of above mentioned activities we foresee a number of off-spring projects and increase of young people/ volunteers exchange between Europe and China as the result of the project. Among main outcome of the project there is such Visual Material as photo exhibition in Estonia, dedicated to youth unemployment and EU-China cooperation, a short film with the most representative images from the project and a website focusing on our two main themes: EU-China cooperation and a tool to fight to youth unemployment. This website will serve as a platform to further develop our Academy of Non-Formal Education, which is planned to exist virtually in its first years.The number of participants involved (direct beneficiaries) is estimated around 680 with more than two thousands indirect beneficiaries (much more if we consider the number of members of each organisation). This will be possible thanks to the collaboration this project will be creating with National Youth Councils international platforms such as CCIVS, Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations and foundations such as the Asia Europe Foundation and the Guanghua Foundation (which is also funding some of the activities in China).
