This multilateral youth exchange is planned to take place in September 2011, gathering 20 youngpeople between 18 and 25 years old and few youthleaders from Turkey,Romania,Italy,Latvia,Spain and Poland.Discovering each other cultures by organising activities for eachother, the youngsters live, play andwork together during 7 days. European citizenship and intercultural dialogue are central themes inthis exchange which aims to visit also diverse European institutions in order to discover togetherpossibilities to contribute towards a Europe with respect for Human Rights and participation of youngpeople. The young people organise, prepare and evaluate the different activities with each other. Theactivities will be run by the young people themselves, supported by a team of youthleaders and socialworkers.The Turkish group consists of youngsters which do not have enough oppurtunity to discover Europen cultures and need a chance not only to learn about other cultures but also introduce their cultures.They wish concretely to understand how and what European citizenship means and how they can contribute to the future development of the European society. Other groups consists of young volunteers and youthworkers. An direct outcome of this projectis the empowerment of all the youngsters with the perspective of being able to organise future activities independently of the support of social workers.
