Youth for life - partners for education project comes out from constant collaboration developed by our organisation with ”Iosif Moldovan” Secondary School over the last two years. This initiative aims to develop and improve educational and social programs implemented in Berzasca, Timisoara and Arad. The motivation for this project is based on the record of activities developed so far in this community and a determined and dedicated team within Arad Branch of Sirinia. The fruitful collaboration with ”Iosif Moldovan” Secondary School dedicated to disadvantaged children attending secondary school determined our team to develop this project of youth mobility in partnership with Indicot and Arcistrauss. We have already established a collaboration with these organisations since 2013 for youth mobilities on social and educational field. This new project gives continuity to our approach in supporting disadvantaged children and will bring the participation of 4 international volunteers, from Italy and Spain for this action. The project has established the following objectives: 1. Development of non-formal educational programme for disadvantaged children in secondary school from Arad by 4 volunteers coming from Italiy and Spain for a period of 12 months;. 2. Consolidation of key competencies for 4 volunteers from Italy and Spain, troughout non-formal activities, for a period of 8 months. Main activities will develop educational workshops on various thematics and topics organised and implemented by the 4 volunteers. Children will participate in creative workshops, learning foreign languages, education, hygiene, health, recycling and personal development. Project will answer to local needs, but in the same time will supply the needs of personal development of the volunteers, by accomplishing an international learning experience throughout they will acquire and improve key competences for future career route. By this youth mobility in Arad volunteers will gain intercultural learning competencies, having regard their personal background, coming from remote and isolated regions (Sicily and Canary Islands). Project activities will make use of non-formal educational methods and volunteers will be trained to apply this methods and receive task related support to implement activities. Volunteers will promote their cultural background and will contribute to promotion of local and cultural values. Carrying this partnership to local community between our organisation and public secondary school with participation of international volunteers we will address social and educational needs of local community. This project will be an example of active participation, social involvement and voluntary service for disadvantaged children and families which will raise awareness on social and educational responsibility, activities will create impact at local level and abroad, in sending communities, with the contribution of volunteers and partner organisations.
