Nowadays there is a real problem existing in the historical cities of Europe and EECA countries. The old buildings that represent the cultural heritage and reflect on the history of the city and its citizens, are being demolished or rebuilt and transformed into modern hotels and office buildings, leaving both the citizens and visitors without a connection to the past and their roots. We, young Europeans, feel that this undermines the cultural diversity of Europe and therefore action should be taken to value and safeguard our heritage.
