TERMINÉ
The main objective of the project was to contribute to professional development of youth workers to promote and empower competence development for professional future of youth including those with fewer opportunities.
A short description of the project activities:
Main activity was mobility of youth workers, lasted 9 days. It was organized in town Sabac, Republic of Serbia. After return to their homes each partner participated in finalisation of the toolkit, manual and web site and participants organized different local initiatives in 7 countries involved in the project (Albania, Portugal, Bulgaria, Germany, Serbia, Italy and FYR Macedonia).
These deliverables were produced and published:
T-kit has been produced to help development of educational programmes for young people including those with fewer opportunities on the topic of competence development for professional future.
Web site has been designed to collect and publish all the material produced during the main activity.
Manual has been produced on how to make a herb spiral garden, green house and chemical free cosmetics.
The impact on the target groups or other groups affected by the project:
Partners believe that young people who participate in youth work activities and different type of non-formal learning gain various competences and skills. These competences help them in different aspects of their lives, professional and personal. The most vulnerable young people are often not easy to reach and to integrate into the community. They are facing a number of different insecurities in their lives at the same time, for example: unemployment, discrimination and isolation; or inadequate housing, and inconsistent education and training. Youth workers of all partners support young people, including those with fewer opportunities, in variety of types of youth work activities (workshops, voluntary work, training, leisure time activities, etc.) In partners’ individual work we recognized a variety of methods and tools to support young people’s learning for employment competence obtain and integration into community of youth with fewer opportunities. Employers in our countries value and seek to employ young people who possess different competences, skills and knowledge, for ex. communication skills, problem solving, teamwork, sense of initiative, and entrepreneurial skills, digital skills, etc. Young people and youth workers need to be more aware of the skills and competences they receive in non-formal learning and to be able to show them to local employers in each country when applying for a job.
Project responded to clearly identified youth workers’ development needs and learning outcomes that were recognized by participated partners. While exploring the concept of social business participants were looking for the ways how to activate and integrate youth with fewer opportunities in the community life. Learning outcomes were shared widely with different bodies, institutions, organizations and public for further use.
