PROJET
TERMINÉ
This project had contained two actions and it participants had facing two different realities during their project implementation. Projects where located in two different realities. One in Marzahn-Hellersdorf district of Berlin and other in city of Vranje.
In first project reality inhabitant’s economic and living conditions at this area of the city are difficult. The rate of unemployment is more than 50%. A high rate of people is from a foreign background. Volunteer was supporting art and culture methodology project activities, escort our youth exchanges and had took part at the activities on our public events and of in youth centres as well as youth participation offices in the quarter. Volunteer had using culture and art as way of communication and expressing opinion, help to develop idea in to the project, create initiative and give information to young people about current and future project and also about Erasmus+ and EVS project possibilities. Main topics of this project action were antidiscrimination, solidarity, tolerance mutual understanding, youth participation and participation in general, social inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities from our district, political education, especially topics of democracy, anti racism and social exclusion.
We were also focused to encourage our volunteers to find his place in the team. In one hand we wanted that volunteer support our daily work but on the other hand we want him to fulfil himself and his own ideas.
Main aim of the second action of project was to promote inter cultural dialogue, integration and to promote active citizenship. In more specifics it was focused to raise awareness about inter cultural dialogue and inclusion of young people from different backgrounds; to promote theatre as a tool in youth work; to promote activism and volunteering on local and international level as well as usage of community radio for it; to foster cooperation on the international level and bring European dimension in non EU country.
Volunteer had possibility to implement activities in different project that HO where running in the office. Main activates was focused on project "Change the rules" with the aim to prevent gender violence among young people. Projects had included training for trainers, peer educations in school and variety of promotional activities such as local actions, social network campaign, recognizing important days. At this project volunteer was actively participating, using local language and improving organizational skills as well as her digital competences. She was working with groups involved in this project, organized meetings, give ideas for the promotional activities. She had also assist in activates under “Anti discrimination campaign” project with the aim to raise awareness about discrimination and to include Roma people in communities. Volunteer had chance to manage the theatre play "Germany" and work with this group. Group was contained from Roma and Serbian youngsters from Vranje. Apart of it she was in promoting EVS program in local municipality youth office, working on radio show under our Community radio, write blog, develop own projects…
During the project implementation she was recognized as part of our team.
While our district is multinational she was implementing activities with youngsters coming from Albanian, Serbian and Roma background. In this way she had become more aware about multi cultural communities.
Participants of both project actions had local language classes. This was helping them to integrate more in to the community.
At these project actions we wanted to raise importance of intercultural dialogue among youth in South Serbia, promote European values, European citizenship and mobility possibilities among youngsters in Germany as well as in Serbia.
