The project was created because of young people’ fascination about comics strips. We decided to use creativity and comics strip to integrate European youth and involve them in the discussion about issues related to social inclusion, integration and European Union’s values. Due to our experience in other youth projects we can see that young people are very creative. Theme of the project reflects our interests, and the partners involved in the project joined us with great commitment and involvement, and we worked together on the concept of the project. Our partners are organizations engaged in non-formal education for many years, these are people who want to develop their knowledge on the art of the comic book and use it as a tool of integration, learning by doing, raising awareness of intercultural diversity, tolerance and equality. The project aims to introduce an innovative method of education through art and encourage young people to act, to participate in the discussion using creative methods and leaving the initiative on their side. The project participants are young people aged 18-28 year , who wish to develop themselves and their surroundings through artistic activity and comics strips. They are the people who want to affect the world around them and raise awareness of the public about key issues for young people and the EU as a whole. The project will be attended by 48 participants from 4 countries of the European Union. It is mainly young people with fewer opportunities - from small towns and young people of immigrant origin. Activities are aimed at stimulating the imagination of the participants through a large amount of work with graphics, interpretation and graphic arts. Workshops and its elements will be interactive, aimed at stimulating creativity and ingenuity, which will allow us later to work on our own ideas and groups associated with a particular idea. A lot of space is devoted to introduction to issues of raising awareness and symbolic influence on social perception – which is the basis of intercultural communication and intercultural dialogue. Each of the groups, after the theoretical preparation, will work on your own comics strips. At the end of the project comic strips created by the participants and their message will be presented to a wider audience.
