Young women for social change

Human rights and fundamental freedoms promoted so strongly by European Union should be birthrights, but across the globe some countries / such as Afghanistan/ fail to accord human rights to women. In the global world there is a need to build a bridges of cooperation between organizations and institutions with the same goals and aims, so as to face solid problems that endanger democracy and performance of women’s rights. By working together youth women organizations from all over the world – Europe, USA, Middle East - can help each other grow, maximize the strengths and fulfill the potential of young leaders as change makers. By working together, sharing know-how, exchanging experiences, good practices, methodologies - organizations from various cultural and social contexts involved in young women’s empowerment can create a synergies that may result in effective and long-lasting, sustainable social change in global world. Women organizations from Europe involved in the project want to learn and get transnational and intercultural capacity that will enable them to realize their mission in global context, not only locally/nationally. Project referrs to the Multi­Annual Indicative Programme (MIP) 2014­2020 for Afghanistan by the European Council, aiming following objectives: intercultural and transnational management experience, good practices exchange, overcoming cultural prejudices and stereotyped conceptions; empowering youth, providing to the local youth available EU opportunities, establishing the basic basis for a future cooperation among EU-Afghanistan in the field addressed, increasing knowledge about the Afghan situation among the youth in Europe fostering future potential exchanges.Project will last 12 months and engage 5 partners from 4 countries: Women Empower Afghanistan/USA/, ASHNA /AFG/-International Youth Association, Active Women Association / PL/, SHUHADA Organization /AFG/, Flying Broom Women’s Communication And Research Association /TUR/. It will include following activities: kick-off meeting in Turkey, study visits in Turkey, Poland, Afghanistan, 2 youth workers mobilities to Afghanistan and Poland, leadership training for young women, contact making seminars in Afghanistan and Poland and final dissemination event in Poland. There will be 250 people engaged in the project activities / learners, youth workers, trainers, stakeholders/. Project will bring following intellectual outputs: 1 documentary movie and video, 1 local mapping tool, 1 good practice catalogue, 1 training manual. Dissemination for he results and outcomes will be conducted for European, Afghan and American public, through the cooperation with stakeholders and media.
