Young managers of the effective career development
Date du début: 1 nov. 2016, Date de fin: 31 oct. 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Despite the fact that society is aging and young people are becoming better educated, unemployment rates and participation in the labor market are much less favorable for young people. The unemployment rates of youth differ in the project partners' countries - as well as the expertises and experiences of organisations. (IT-39,5 %; PL 20%; RO- 20,9%, LT-14,5%; BG- 20,8%; EUROSTAT XII2015 data) while EU average rate is 21,6%. This complex project team was build to exchange experiences, best practices and assure high quality of the project results, but also further international cooperation. The problem that has been defined by the project partners during their daily activities was lack of interdisciplinary skills related withmanagement - taking into account the professional and also private life. It is caused by lack proper education (early school leavers)lack of motivation and vocational guidance. To prove the necessity of the project aim all partners prepared the research - bycontacting the youth groups from the local area. The defined by the consortium set of skills will help the young people to manage their career effectively - despite of the sector andoccupation. The international character of the project activities will improve the national experiences and exsisting practices and willbe the first step to the closer international cooperation.General aim of the project is to create opportunities of cooperation aiming youth trainers, VET providers and employers in order to define 3 aspects of the digital competences in security:1. assessment tool for youngsters - which can be used as a self assessment for young people or assessment tool for trainers or future employers. 2. basic training programme and supporting materials for youth workers/trainers - with the introduction of innovative system of recognition and validation of learning outcomes. (VCC system). 3. apprenticeship model in digital competences - defined together with representatives of employers that will assure link from self assessment via training model towards apprenticeship and employment. What is more project is based on 1 of the key competences identified in the framework of life long learning - such as entrepreneurship.Consortium partners have stated the need to improve two key areas: the first element is the communication and cooperation between VET providers and companies, including SMEs. The consortium agrees with the conclusion of the “staff working document on VET as part of the Rethinking education strategy (SWD(2012) 375 final)”, that connecting VET providers and engaging companies remains a challenge for effective work based learning on EU level in which VET teachers play a crucial role. The second element identified is the need to support learners in fully maximizing their learning experience. This is currently not sufficiently achieved due to a lack of transversal competences and attitudes that can empower them to make the most of their experience: work based learning is based on an experiential learning approach (KOLB, D.A. 1984) in which the learner gets actively involved in an experience, reflects on it, and uses analytical skills to conceptualize it and, through decision making and problem solving, uses the new ideas, knowledge and skills gained from the experience. These transversal skills need to be improved. Also this need stated by the consortium partners has been confirmed to be a European challenge: the businesses interviewed in the “Survey of VET-business cooperation on skills, entrepreneurship and apprenticeships” confirmed, that the main skills gap is still related to transversal skills, also entrepreneurship skills (e.g. sense of initiative, critical and analytical thinking, problem solving among others). [ICF GHK (2014): Preparation of the European Forum on Vocational Training ].Following below mentioned objectives and policies project will address:1. youth, especially at risk of social exclusion and unemployed. (OI1+IO4)2. youth workers, trainers (IO2+IO4, C1)3. employers (IO3+IO4)Other stakeholders, public bodies or labour market institutions interested in project results at national and european level. Needs of the target groups defined by consortium:1. tools for youngsters assessing skills and competences - that can be used in digital format.(OI1+IO4)2. recognition and validation of youth workers skills in digital competences in management in VCC system (IO2+IO4, C1)3. development of the apprenticeship model in digital skills in cooperation with employers (IO3+IO4)4. streghtening cooperation among all parties in order to prepare youth to the labour market expectations. ( IO1-IO4, C1, E1).European challenges need to be tackled with a European approach that requires expertise from different stakeholders of different countries.
