Young European Apprentices Special Training
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

YEAST – Young European Apprentices' Special Training – is addressed to apprentices, young skilled workers and teachers/advisers in the field of brewers and malsters. Advisers have got the chance for one week, apprentices for two weeks and young skilled workers even for 2 months to go abroad and learn about brewing beer without the regulations of the purity law. Within Yeast 1 we could arrange 37 placements for advisers, for apprentices and for skilled workers. Some of them took the opportunity to stay even longer! Talkes and chats with and to the participants have been influencing the other students in class to encourage them to apply to be a member of the project. Starting with participants on high school level step by step more and more students with lower school degrees applied and served succsessfully their internship. All participants had the chance to work from „grain to glass“. Most of them saw the first time what is behind the bottom to be pressed to go to next brewing process. They could see and feel how beer is „developing“ - an ALEChemy. (remember: Alchemy and Ale!!) Now, all participants understand each single step within a brewing process much better than before. Not only job related matters but also culturel experiences encouraged „old“ participants to apply again to gain new adventures abroad.
