The ''Young, active and health'' project will be implemented from September 1, 2016 to August 31, 2018 jointly by: Uczniowski Klub Sportowy Conrad (Poland) and GENC GIRISIM EGITIM GENCLIK VE SPOR KLUBU DERNEGI (Turkey). The partners of the project will be: Marshal's Office of the Pomorskie Voivodeship in Gdańsk, the City of Gdańsk and the City of Ankara. The main purposes of the project will be to: elaborate new ways of teaching, for the purpose of improving education in sport, in the context of informal education; create a digital network of partner organizations and to facilitate liaison between organizations for the purpose of exchanging experiences and good practices in sport amogst young people; initiate the development of youths' social skills (such as: communication, coping with stress and emotions, and ability to work in a team); raise the level of involvement in youth volunteering and to strengthen the role of youth leaders in amateur sports; create a sport and recreation classes program based on the participation of the youth, responding to the needs and expectations of young people; encrease the level of involvement in amateur sport and physical activity amongst young people; equalize opportunities in access to sport through individualization of sport and recreation classess and to adapt it to physical abilities of particular participants. elaborate more efficient methods of management in sport.The project involves collaboration in the sector of informal education. As part of the program a team of sport coaches, teachers, and youth leaders based on the purposes set above will jointly elaborate a program of sport and recreation based classes with elements of judo. The new program will be tested during the classes with the youth (in total 1080 hours of classes will be provided in the two countries). Amendtments and improvements will be implemented throughout the duration of the project. Organizations in partners' countries will be implementing good practices in the field of working with the youth during international project meetings. Moreover, the partner organizations will create a digital network, which will be used for exchanging experencies and good practices. The final result of the project will be a publication showing elaborated, and tested amongst partner organizations program of classes, which will be used by physical education teachers and sport coaches as an inspiration, while organizing sport classes. The project will be attended by: 8 teachers and sport coaches, 6 youth leaders, 2 workers of the management personel of organizations, 150 young people aged 13 to 24 years old (who will participate in test classes) from two countries of the European Union. Furthermore, a group of 50 physical education teachers, 60 sport coaches, sport animators and youth leaders, and 1500 young people from Poland and Turkey, which cooperate with approximentally 30 organizations in total will be indirect recipients of the project. The results of the project (including the publication) will be given to workers of educational institutions and non-governmental organizations working in the field of common sport amongst the youth, during informal contacts. The developed methodology of organizing and conducting sport classes will be an inspiration for sport coaches and teachers working in the area of youth sport.
