You are a human being: be aware of your rights

“You are a Human Being, Be Aware of Your Rights” was developed based on the situation of human rights in Europe and the emergency to invest and develop skills in Human Rights Education (especially among youth workers who are dealing with the target group that is at the same time the most sensitive and with the biggest capacity of change among the global population: Youth! UN adopted recently the HRE declaration:www.hrea.org/index.php?doc_id=1808, a landmark document recognising the right of every one of the planet's seven billion people to have access to HRE, a lifelong process involving all ages, all parts of society. This project is focusing on developing competencies of HRE Multipliers among youth workers by equipping them with adequate knowledge, attitudes and skills in preparing and implementing HRE with various target groups.As a project developed on European cooperation in youth field, it is envisioning long term collaboration trough the follow-up strategy and multiplying effect. Main aim is to develop competencies among youth workers to contribute to preparing, delivering and evaluating Human Rights Education for more acknowledged, skilled and re-active youth towards various HR problematic situations.The project was developed as a mutual effort of all 13 promoters(7 from Programme Countries: Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Romania, Turkey and all 6 SEE partner countries: Serbia(host), Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro) in order to have a well balanced multiplying effect, with a total number of 26 participants as direct beneficiaries in the project.TC has three learning phases: e-learning preparation for the course, residential training and e-learning follow-up to the course. The residential will take place in Serbia for duration of 9 days and will be focused on non-formal education and experiential learning. Trainers´ team is trained and certified by the Council of Europe in Human Rights Education.
