Being able to be exposed at the scene and be proud of what you do and for who you are, does something to a man. It gives power not only there and now but also on the road ahead. It makes it easier to raise yourself after failure and it contributes a secure identity. This also applies to young sign language users.Hearing people has spoken language and culture with music, poems and more. Deaf people have their sign languages and as other languages, sign languages have different cultural genres: for example theatre, poetry or sign language songs.• Through getting sign language arts and culture into the spotlight and trough giving deaf youngsters experience on the stage, we will give them a safer identity and inspire more young people to engage sign language arts and sign language culture.• We ensure deaf children to come with their identity: Who they are and what they can. By this we want increase their chances there in several areas of from school, to work and job interviews until meetings in the local community there they live or authorities.• We want to give new impulses to sign language culture in Norway and Germany and enthuse more young people for sign language cultureWe will gather for workshops on various expression of sign language performing arts and enjoy the results during today's lecture. For this, we will gather togehter nearly 60 participants.We hope to get with many experiences but also with many new sign-language hymns, poetries, poems, rap and short theatre pieces. These are to be preserved and published.
