YE "Empowering active citizenship"

Being a citizen means being a fully respected and respectful member of a society. The YE "Empowering active citizenship" is based on the principles and practices of non-formal education to enable participants to exchange their experiences and approaches and reflect upon them as well as the promotion of young people's active participation in society, to improve opportunities for young people to get sustainable job opportunities, thereby encouraging social inclusion and increasing employment rates. YE is based on the principles of non-formal education, interactive activities, experiential learning and creativity. Participants will take part in debates, discussions , which are related to European issues and will exchange knowledge, ideas and visions how to build prosperous society. The vital element is active citizenship, participation, democratic behavior, social inclusion and community work, To give young people access to society and to include them, To practice basic human rights such as freedom of speech, the right to answer and right to… participate; The project would take place in Bakuriani, Georgia from 15-23/12/2013 and would include participants from 8 countries to discuss the significant role of the intercultural learning. YE intends to involve participants from rural regions of the included countries. All organizations involved have beneficiaries with fewer opportunities among their target groups.During the project participants will exchange best practices and will have the opportunity to share their experience at European level, try to prepare a flashmob show as a good example of being active and Movie for Intercultural Teams. This movie could be used as a tool for further communication among participants and other young people from different NGOs that interested in the intercultural learning.This project fosters young people's sense of European citizenship and helps them to understand their role as a part of the present and the future of Europe.
