Drug addiction is one of the biggest problem in the whole world and also in Turkey. It is so popular in Europe and Turkey. There are a great variety of drugs. As long as there is increase in the drug addiction and use, there is decrease in the ages of drug use and addiction. In Turkey, youths and the students in the primary school levels can have an access to find drugs easily. Whenever the youths meet with the drugs, they can be in the center of drug use cycle. Recently, there is increase in the varieties of drugs and the youths use these kind of drugs, so there is seriously loss of youths because of their drug abuse. Ministry of Development prepared a report including the years 2014-2018 and in this report stated that “Socio-economic and regional disparities, poverty, social sexual disparities, marriages at the ages of childhood, child labor, delinquency, violence and sexual child abuse, dissociation in families, lack of belonging and collaboration, bad habits such as; smoking, alcohol and drug use, internet addiction are important risk factors for children and youths”. It is crucial for healthy futures to find solutions for drug abuse in children and youths because drug abuse destroy people’s physical, psychological and social life, effects people’s health, losing children and youths’ human feeling, especially drug abuse is very common in youths, we have to take necessary precautions. Protecting children and youths’ future can only be possible with having an effective public health approach. However, for children and youths who use drug, it needs to be taken effective treatment techniques to save the youths and children. Concordantly, in Turkey we need to take effective precautions, to use new and modern technique struggling with drug abuse, for people who are drug addicts. All the authorities should take responsibilities to fight with this world wide common problem, drug abuse. The project is at the center of these questions “Excluding the efforts and works in combating with drug abuse, what we can do more? In different countries, what are they doing to prevent drug abuse? “The aims of the project are to compare the implementations of different European countries with Turkey, to gain new methods, techniques and innovative implementations, to monitor good practices, to share the results and good implementations in Karaman, Turkey. Then we will lead many activities in the field of drug abuse. In the mobility, there will be 6 trainers, 4 managers, 2 volunteers. The total number of the participants in the mobility is 12. The trainers are the experts on the preventive and curative methods and techniques in drug addiction. There are two partner countries in the project; The Netherlands and Portugal. In both of the countries, the participants will visit non-governmental organizations and institutions and the participants will monitor preventive and protective implementations to combat with drug addiction and abuse. At the same time, the participants will review the legal regulations and the system. There is a detailed plan for the activities in partner countries. The participants will assign the work programme and learning agreement to declare that they will be strictly addicted to the work programme. Within the scope of the activities, at the end of each day, the participants will fill an observation form and a questionnaire. For each mobility, there will be a commission including two people to monitor the participants and the activities, to evaluate the programme whether it reaches its aims or not. Observation and evaluation activities will be done within the primarily responsible these two people. Visiting and seeing the different countries will add many values to the participants such as; witnessing different cultures, developing foreign language abilities, creating solutions for preventing children and youths’ drug addiction, gaining new experiences and sharing ideas with the authorities working in the field of preventing drug addiction and use. At the end of the project, the participants will learn different methods techniques and experiences to combat with drug addiction and use from Portugal and The Netherlands. The project will be introduced with the website and local and national press in Turkey. The participants will share what they have gained from the mobilities. The participants will share the results with the members of Karaman Provincial Drug Commission in Karaman. The project management team have planned to organize meetings with the participants in every 4 months to analyze the results, to create effective solutions and to prepare reports what they have done about the project so far. Beyond this, the project management team will have reports to share the results with different Public Health Centers from different cities in Turkey. The results and the outcomes of the project will reach 81 provinces in Turkey. The project will lead many different regional national and international projects.
