In our country, creative drama is not used properly as a teaching technique. The misapplication of creative drama may lead some problems like introverted students, loss of confidence toward teachers and even permanent trauma. If creative drama is used in a proper way, students can - Know themselves - Develop empathy skills - Improve creative skills - Develop the ability of communication - Learn rapidly and permanently In the project, our teachers will participate two week training in Portugal and they will be able to learn in detail the proper use of some creative drama techniques which are consciousness corridor, flashbacks, Forum Theater, private property, gap, unfinished materials, participation of group’s leader, role cards and improvisation. Moreover they will be able to observe courses and do creative exercises. So, they can develop their own methods, gain students’ confidence and make strong student-teacher relationship. Besides all these competencies, they will able to improve their language skills, learn different cultures and learn education techniques in compliance with European standards. They can prove complete training successfully and their competencies about creative drama by certificates which will be given at the end of the training. The project involves five teachers from each department which are Ataturk’s principles and reforms, social studies and Turkish in five schools. The event will consist of two flows for two weeks and involve learning creative drama techniques, creative drama exercises, monitoring courses including these lessons and cultural activities. During the execution of the project, consortium members and our foreign partners will establish an executive committee. The committee will be responsible for distribution of duties and preparations. During the preparation, the parties will be in communication with each other and provide powerful collaboration.
