Yalla Intercultural Citizenship
Date du début: 1 févr. 2015, Date de fin: 30 juil. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Building on the results of the Job Shadowing project of a person of our organisation in Morocco (Ago'14), we will have developed the idea of this exchange in which two groups of 10 young people (and 3 leaders) will gather for eight days in Valencia to break stereotypes approximate the cultures, working concepts like active citizenship and participation and above all having fun. The ages of the participants is between 20 and 30 years, with a profile of medium-high level studies and also medium-high social involvement. The event will be held in the city of Valencia, in an urban youth hostel, so we can use all the resources offered by the city for activities. The development of intercultural and interpersonal skills will be the focus of the project in terms of learning competencies, since most of the activities will aim to better understand our cultures and learn to live together and build a better society. The topics that will serve as a guideline are: religion, politics, sports, technology, the environment and gender inequality. They appeal to both groups and are content to have fun sharing opinions and discussing. The activities to be undertaken will be mainly games, workshops, debates and visits. All with consistent thread in intercultural learning and combating racism and xenophobia. Thanks to the distribution of tasks, we can ensure that participants will star in all the activity and especially the part of visibility and impact. In the long term, we would like these young people would meet again in a similar exchange but in Morocco and that their relationship was consolidated. We would also like to appear a project send / host volunteer (since some of the Valencian is motivated enough).
