Xmas beyond boarders is a long-term project with 8 days in Denmark at Christmas in 2014 and 8 days in Palestine at Ramadan/ EID festival in July 2015. The participants will be 18 people from Palestine and Denmark.
The aim of the project is to strengthen young people´s awareness of other cultures and thus create tolerance and understanding while at the same time combating prejudice and racism. The participant will be hosted in families and will share an everyday life, discover the local environment and share habits in families, and they will also be part of traditions such as Christian and Ramadan/ EID festival. This experience will make the basis for the participants’ mutual intercultural reflection on the theme of religion, sexual orientation, woman´s role in society and marriage.
