In the substantiation of the part concerning the vocational education of the The Integrated Regional Operational Programme of the Pomorskie Voivodeship between 2014-2020 we find information that in the Pomorskie Voivodeship exist a huge problem of adjusting the educational programme of the vocational schools to the needs of the employees. There are no local coordinators supervising the market demand, there is no such thing like close cooperation between the employees and the vocational schools. Therefore the major priority is : “ Investment in education, skills and lifelong learning through the development of education and training infrastructure”. The element supporting the education of experts is their educational mobility, thanks to which the students of vocational schools can have their trainings in the EU countries. This project is supposed to suport the workshop of the participants of the project so they could become more noticeable on the local, regional and even European employment market and they will be able to respond for the requests of the employers. Carrying out the project is to increase the professional qualifications of vocational school graduates of the ZSE which are the main outlines of the The Integrated Regional Operational Programme of the Pomorskie Voivodeship.
The project of the vocational training is for 16 students from gastronomy class, which will take place in February 2016 and for 16 students from hospitality class which will take place in May. The participants will be recruited among students from second and third class of the technical school based on language test, vocational subject marks, opinion of their tutor and the interview with the project coordinator. This way we will be able to emerge two 16-people groups. The participants will have their training in the gastronomy objects and in the hotel facilities in Lizbon. They will have the support of their supporting teachers from their school. During their training they will have a chance to broaden their professional competences and familiar with European standards of the functioning of the companies. The training will be a chance to acquaint the local market mechanisms. The aim of the project would be to get competences helping in finding an employment in the competitive market. An additional advantage of the training will be the possibility to develop the competence in the English and Portuguese language. There will be a Portuguese course. The students will be familiarize with Portuguese culture and traditions. There will be some agricultural excursions which will help to increase the cultural awareness and expression among the participants.
The participants will be students from the small towns and villages in Tczew and neighbouring counties because one of the aims of the project is to equalise the chances of young people from such places.
The participants' experience of the foreign training will positively affect their ability to adapt to new situations, work in a team and improve their communication skills. The result of the participation in the project will be the improvement of language competence in communication and specialist vocabulary, new skills and social competences. Owing to the participation in the project the beneficiaries will establish international contacts, their motivation to learning will increase to improve their chances in the job market. In the long term participating in the project may let the students to accomplish the professional success not just on the local employment market but also on the national and even the European market. The local community will gain an experts, who could share their knowledge and broaden the horizons both the employers and the employees.
After the training the beneficiaries will share their experience and show new skills to the students and teachers of our school. There will be presentation prepared and showed to local community as well as to representatives of local administration, entrepreneurs and craftsmen. The final reports not only will document the course of the training and enable marking it at school but also help to evaluate school curriculum.
