There will be an open competition of art works two months before the event and every work will be judged by a jury composed of art experts. The jury will choose around 15 art works to be exhibited during the event. There will also be 2 or 3 art experts (such as writers, philosophers, scholars, architects) and policy makers responsible for the cultural sector and youth unemployment. Additionally to the exchanging experience, the different activities will mainly follow a peer-learning approach and will allow the participants to develop skills and knowledge that are valuable for their future. There will be two panel discussions where all participants will be able to ask questions, express personal and professional opinions and needs, highlight issues, debate with others and communicate with policy makers. A Declaration on ‘Art and Culture’ will also be negotiated by the participants following the method of the Council of Europe. This Declaration representing the voice of young artists will be presented in the European Parliament. Through the collaborative art work, participants will work on a special theme to deliver in a creative way their message. With this project we want to support mobility of artists and cultural professionals which are objectives of Europe 2020 Strategy. As a youth organization we understand and acknowledge the importance of promoting transnational mobility of cultural and creative players as well as transnational circulation of cultural and creative works, thereby promoting cultural exchanges and intercultural dialogue. The main aims of this project are to raise awareness about primary purpose of art among participants as a reaction on its growing commercialization as well as improving interaction among young artists and decision makers in order to encourage young people to continue with their work but with guarantee that policy-makers, especially representatives of public authorities in charge of youth, recognize and value their work as a great contribution to European growth. This approach should lead to a higher participation of this youth group in democratic life.
