The project is aimed at three specializations of our school: economics, information technology and tourism. The project will be implemented in cooperation with the partner organisation Tellus (Group) Ltd - Work Experience UK. There are 32 participants of the program (aged 17- 19): 6 in economics and 20 in information technology and 6 in tourism sector. The participants' selection criteria are clearly stated. During their stay in the UK the students will be accompanied by 2 teachers: Mrs Ducka and Mrs Gurowiec/ Mrs Musiałek The main objective of the project is placement implementation in small and medium enterprises in Plymouth (the UK). The participants will be divided into two groups. The first group will consist of 16 students ( 10 in IT, 6 in economics) and will stay in the UK from 1 March 2015 to 28 March 2015. In the second group there will also be 16 students (10 in IT , 6 in tourism) and they will stay in the UK from 18 October 2015 to 14 November 2015. Other priority objectives of the project are the following: a. to acquire new qualifications and improve existing ones, b. to acquaint participants with requirements imposed by European employers on employees, c. to acquaint students with ways of functioning and management of small and medium enterprises. It would be helpful in supporting graduates in setting up and running their own companies and counteracting unemployment, d. to develop students' skills and thus improve their situation in the labor market and increase their employability, e. to match curriculum requirements and the needs of employers in the European markets, f. to promote the idea of mobility in working life, The project is based on the analysis of job markets needs and conclusions drawn from cooperation with local employers. It also takes into account current changes taking place in European job markets. We want to meet requirements imposed by local and European employers on our graduates. Potential employer looks for enterprising, mobile people with good knowledge of foreign languages. Professional training and skills are also essential here. Student will be able to receive employers' references and international certificates. The placement will be mainly implemented in small and medium companies in Plymouth. One of the priorities of our placement program is supporting graduates in setting up and running their own companies. The aim is going to be reached by the knowledge of companies organizational structures, their functioning and management. The process of education will be greatly accompanied by experience gained in companies. International placement allows not only to make observations, improve professional skills and gain professional experience but also to communicate in English freely and to gain ability to move on the European job market as well. Teachers will benefit in this field as well. As a result the participants will increase professional and language skills. They will also acquaint themselves with part of the British job market. The participants of the project will receive the Europass Mobility certificate, employers' references and the certificate of attendance in the project . Each of the institutions participating in the project has the tasks assigned to. In addition, the project schedule has been created. The project will be evaluated and monitored at its every stage and its results will be disseminated. At local level, our project is in agreement with the needs of development strategy for the Silesian District (2000- 2020), where increasing mobility on job market and professional qualifications improvement are emphasized. At present, the Silesian District is developing dynamically as far as its economics is concerned; and foreign investment is essential here. On national scale, our project supports actions promoting the spirit of enterprise among the young, whose careers might be the result of experience gained on the European job market. For European perspective, the project supports and complements EU member countries actions in the field of education and vocational training.
