WRITING THEATRE AT SCHOOL

The project focuses on problems and needs of a too high number of young people inadequately mastering those "skills foundation" necessary to better and properly use, in different and wider contexts, the knowledge acquired through compulsory education and vocational training. The solutions fostered are based on the transfer of a methodology based on the Techniques of drama writing with the aim to support the development and strengthening of social, creative and communication skills of young at risk of exclusion. On the other side, the methodology acts towards the integration of the competences of teachers, trainers, educators and counselling operators, by helping them to perform more efficiently and efficaciously their role as learning process facilitators. The transantional consortium represents three EU Member States (Italy, Germany and Nederland) and implies private and public organisations working within the education, training and counselling sectors, all experienced in the management of cooperative national and transnational networks and in the implementation of actions concerning contents and topics faced by the project. The involvement of targeted national contexts is focused on the realisation of trainers training actions based on the methodology proposed; and training workshops addressed to young at risk aged 14-17 y. o. and managed by the operators trained. Workshops and training activities are based on the Handbook on "Methods and Techniques of Writing Theatre" developed during a previous transnational experience (LLP-LDV), that during the project will be reviewed, integrated and translated in italian, english, dutch and german.During the workshops, the young involved will have to produce, with the support of their trainers-tutors, drama scripts that will be published on line on the project website in e-book and flip book versions. At the end of the project will be realised a Final event based on the performance and reading on stage of the drama scripts produced by the italian, german and duch young.
