Write your rights, erase your prejudices! Together for a more sympathetic and inclusive world !

The project "Write your rights, erase your prejudices! Together for a more sympathetic and inclusive world!", promoted by the informal group "Dall'Eleuterio a Busambra” (DEA BUSA), will take place in the province of Palermo from 27th October to 7th November 2015 and it will involve 25 young between 18 and 25 years and six group leaders from Italy, Turkey, Romania, Lithuania and Greece. From 29th to 30th of September there will be an APV among the leaders, aiming to organize the activities and cooperate in the preparation of the project. The topic of the exchange will be the attention towards human rights, inclusion and solidarity. In particular the project will carry on the analysis of common prejudices and stereotypes and the promotion of an active involvement in the fight against them. The participants will be engaged in the creation of a list of humans rights that should be respected in a civil world and they will be also involved in the promotion of a sense of solidarity and cooperation among people of different Countries, cultures and ethnicities. There will be debates and brainstorming on the issues of human rights, prejudices and discrimination, cooperation games, the creation of logos, articles, videos to advertise a good attitude of young people towards social issues such as the respect of human rights and a sense of solidarity. All activities will be based on non-formal and informal methods to encourage the socialization, the exchange of ideas and the knowledge of different cultures, behaviors and life styles, and they will be also based on the full involvement of young people, through "learning by doing", peer education and sharing. The project will also involve disadvantaged young people in terms of economic, social and cultural development; in parallel it will involve local authorities who are trying to promote the respect of human rights and to spread a sense of inclusion among young generations giving a contribution for the creation of a more sympathetic society. During the project the participants will compare their different ideas, views and stereotypes and they will create a “Charter of Rights and Solidarity in Europe” that will be signed by the local politicians and that will have a strong symbolic value because it will come from the effort of an international group of young people, and based on their experience, analysis and critical sense. The participants will make the public aware of this topic thanks to the projection of videos, interviews and flash mobs in the streets of the town and, through the use social networks, trying to thrill even their friends on the importance of these topics. All information materials created by the participants will be published and disseminated on line.
