Workpractice Nacka gymnasium
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The purpose of this application is to enable students at Nacka gymnasium's Hotel- and Tourism, Handicraft - Hairdressing programmes to go abroad on work practice. This will strengthen their skills and give them a possibility to reflect on social and cultural issues in another country. They will also gain international knowledge of their specific bransch. Our school will gain new unique knowledge that all our students will benefit from. The school will provide the students with a basic knowledge but the international experience will definitely make them more competitive within the EU labour market. The purpose of the project is to encourage students to work abroad and make them attractive on the Swedish and international markets. By providing an opportunity to practice in another country under safe forms increases the students chances of success and thus increases both the students confidence and hopefully increase their mobility. We have chosen to work with companies that are well-functioning organizations. Students are also given the chance to work in real situations. Our vocational programmes at Nacka gymnasium are a competitive alternative to theoretical programmes as a result of previous student exchange projects. At Nacka gymnasium we have produced documents for the validation of the students according to the guidelines for work practice of the the Swedish National Agency for Education. The documents are translated into English and submitted to the students' supervisors in the different companies. Our partners will assist us in assessing their work and progress and the documents will be filled in at the school representative's visit. The documents will give us a basis for the final grading of our students. At Nacka gymnasium, we have an upper secondary class for students with learning disabilities with a focus on trade. This class manages a shop at our school. During the last two years, the students with special needs have been given the chance to come along and do work practice at Fenwick in Canterbury.
