Working and e-Learning with Knowledge and Operational Management

The project, comprising 8 partners from 4 countries, will develop new methodology for the use of ICT across a range of business sectors. The overall project aim is to improve the efficiency of ICT use in different European countries and business sectors. Project partners will develop e-learning modules covering the use of ICT in business. These modules will be accompanied by a tutorship programme for use in the workplace. The tutor will be a key employee, from the same working unit as the trainee, who will act as a mentor to guide users through the use and application of new ICT that are appropriate to the workplace in question. Informal and innovative know-how, developed in the context of ICT use, will be collected in the course of the project and will allow employees to validate new ICT training methods as suitable tools for application in their particular work environment. At the project's end, a quantitative and qualitative assessment of ICT use will be made by examining, in turn, the frequency of ICT use and the assimilation of ICT-methods by the end user. Dissemination of project results, on the suitability of ICT for different working environments/users, will be based upon reports, presentations at conferences, workshops, publications in specialist journals and the use of IT media (publication of results on existing websites and/or the creation of a CD-Rom).
