The proposed project is focused on the group of 15 students of the 3rd and 4th year of study in the Secondary School of Commerce in Hlohovec (further referred to as "OA") who have not participated in work experience abroad so far and 2 accompanying persons in London at the same time (OA teachers with experience from international projects). The project participants will have to successfully pass the selection procedure after applying for participation in the work experience. The selection procedure will be implemented by a selection committee consisting of the OA managers and teachers. Participants will have to meet not only educational, language and professional requirements, but also certain personal characteristics - they must be independent, flexible, adaptable, responsible, reliable, communicative and able to represent the school. On the basis of our previous experience with Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus + programme we have decided to participate in the mobility again by implementing a 2-week mobility in London, UK and to cooperate with the mediating organization ADC College. This project will be implemented as a 2-week vocational training in companies in Great Britain - in London. Placement of participants will be arranged by ADC College. Selection of companies will be based on professional needs arising from the OA curriculum. Vocational training will be performed in the companies active in the area of administration and retail. An integral part of the project will be also language training. This vocational training will be accepted as part of the school curriculum results for the students. The project will be aimed at the development of European dimension of education, acquiring new working skills and abilities in the European environment, development of language skills and key competencies, getting to know a new culture, getting European contacts, increasing the level of independence and ability to work in the international and intercultural environment. The aim of the project is also to develop and to support the cooperation between the world of education and the world of work as well as the importance of lifelong education. The gained experience will be included in the school curricullum. The primary goal is to improve the starting position of the future graduates in the national and European labour market. The supporting goals are comparing the approaches in theoretical and practical education and training of students, gaining new abilities, competencies and skills, increasing the self-confidence of students, possible also for starting their own companies. The main added value is the direct experience from the vocational training abroad they can apply in their future employment. This will contribute to the development of European dimension of the educational process. Partners can initiate further cooperation in the future. What is more, participating teachers will share their experience with their colleagues. This project will be of a huge benefit also for the school - OA as it will increase its goodwill and credibility as well as the international character of the institution. The vocational training (work experience) will be implemented in London, Great Britain.
