"WORD 2.10 the colour of words (anno 2010)" invites 26 young people from 13 till 17 years old from Belgium, Macedonia, Belarus, Iceland and Germany (from East to West Europe!) to participate in an international youth exchange that will take place from 28/07 - 7/08/2010 in Oostende, Belgium.WORD 2.10 the colour of words (anno 2010) is about words, about communication, about expression, about identities, about cultures and diversity, about interculturalism and tolerance, about creativity and citizenship. Because words are all the time around us. Because words express, create, explore and communicate. Because everything is a word. Because the world is a word too.This youth exchange is implemented in the dynamic theatre festival TAZ (Theater Aan Zee) www.theateraanzee.be in Oostende. A festival where, during ten days, there are several plays, performances, streetacts,music concerts all over the city. Oostende is breathing theatre during those days! With TAZ as a partner we will explore the theme WORD 2.10 the colour of words (anno 2010) mainly by theatre methods. As an outcome of our exchange the participants will have the chance to perform their experiences, explorations and gained expressions in a public performance within the programme of TAZ. The performance will be copiled in a videoclip which will be disseminated in all participating countries.Next to theatre methods there all severel other methods implemented as well: intercultural active games, a movie night, creative art-workshops, exploring sport activities, interactive cultural visits, intercultural presentations and exchange, discussions, a dance workshop, a natural park visit, a visit behind the curtains of the festival, poetry workshop,group building activities, an historical visit and an interactive creative museum session,… There's a lot to enjoy, to express and to 'word' in this exchange!! In general, the project tends to encourage young people's active citizenship and involvement in the social events and processes - in a creative, artistic and innovative way.
