Rechercher des projets européens

WOMEN@IR-WeBIND
Date du début: 1 sept. 2015, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This project aims to compare and promote women leadership in the EU and the US, thus filling a gap in European integration studies, that have so far neglected the role of women political leaders in EU policymaking and IR.An international team of leading experts, scholars and women political leaders will join forces in the research work, that will be discussed in an international conference in the Spring 2016 in Washington, DC.Papers about the project’s research work will be also presented in the most relevant international conferences (EUSA, EPSA, APSA, ISA) and will result in an edited book published by the Brookings Institution Press, thus ensuring maximum international visibility and dissemination. The project will also produce a number of policy recommendations to enhance gender parity. The project will develop a website and launch a social media campaign to promote women leaders in European policy-making and international relations as well as women’s scholarly contributions to European studies and IR.The project will promote awareness about the EU and European Union studies in the US and inspire emerging women leaders to engage in civil service and politics. Though this project is not about gender politics - it is in fact a trans-disciplinary history and poli.sc. project – it does in fact have a clear gender-promotion goal and an agenda that will help reduce the gap between academia and the policy community.
