TERMINÉ
„Italian tourism industry as an opportunity for professional development for students of ZSP no.2 in Ruda Sląska” project is addressed to the students of the second and third grades of the Technical Secondary School of the Hotel Industry, Gastronomy, Tourism Industry and Economics.
It is planned to send three groups of 16 participants – i.e. 48 students - to Italy ( two groups to Rome and one to Rimini ) in the period from April 2015 to April 2016. There are four places assigned to each profession.
The training will be realized in hotels, restaurants and companies chosen by foreign host organizations.
Companies that cooperate within this project with ZSP no.2 in Ruda Śląska are Italian company Sistema Turismo and British company Tellus Group, which are accredited training bodies with significant experience in preparing and monitoring of EU’s projects.
The content and aims of the project are in accordance with the educational curricula and the
programmes valid for the above mentioned professions. It is also relevant to the Plan of the School
Development, which emphasizes the importance of preparing students to meet the needs of the
changing local and regional job market. At the same time it takes into consideration the importance of creating a high personal culture individuals who are involved in local environment’s affairs but are also aware and open for other communities and culture.
However, the major aim of this project is to meet individual needs of each participant in the area of their practical professional skills, which will significantly increase participants’ opportunities of employment on open European job market. The skills will be confirmed by Europass Mobility document.
The project will also fulfill the following specific aims:
• To determine the aims and the content of the project, to choose the topic, to draw conclusions
• To choose partner companies, which will organize and monitor the project
• To determine recruitment criteria for participants
• To select participants of the placement
• To organize language, professional and cultural training before the placement
• To organize the travel and to provide professional care for all the participants of the project in the country of placement
• To monitor proper performance of foreign partner companies
• To evaluate each stage of fulfilling the project
• To prepare the final report
The tasks of foreign partner companies:
• Participation in preparing the project
• To organize accommodation and food for students and accompanying teachers, to organize transfer from and to the airport and to arrange transport in the country of placement
• To arrange the placements in accordance with students’ skills and expectations
• To monitor realization of trainings
• To organize free time activities and culture program
• To gather and evaluate information for the final report
• To issue all the certificates confirming the training
Realization of “Italian tourism industry as an opportunity for professional development for students of ZSP no.2 in Ruda Śląska” project will let to achieve individual result for each of the participants. In consequence, it may raise their mobility and attractiveness on the job market with high rate of unemployment among young people.
It is believed that observation of good trainings and experience gained by the participants of this project will affect and improve vocational and general teaching process in Zespół Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych nr2 w Rudzie Śląskiej. It will also certainly attract future students and our school will be perceived as worth investing for local and educational authorities .
