The contacts between Weilerbach and Isigny-Sur-Mer have existed for many years, primarily between the adults of the partner municipalities. Youth groups of existing partnerships have not come together . The participants are between 13-18 years old. They live in Isigny-sur-Mer or in Weilerbach, partly come from other countries (Kosovo, Turkey, Italy or refugees from Syria or Iraq).The planned Youth Exchange should be the foundation of a future European cooperation between the partner municipalities; so that even in this generation solidarity, intercultural friendly relations arise.The project wants to promote and develop the existing social connections between the partner municipalities. The Youth should receive the necessary framework for a common social, cultural, religious and political dialogue, play with the goal of knowledge "We are Europe" and "WE have an important role".The aim is to convey intercultural skills. Also, young people should deal with the issue of refugees. Participants will learn about the similarities and differences of political systems. It will focus the themes of integration, interculturalism, social networking, and the European refugee situation. They are developed jointly with debates, role plays, group work and other educational methods. The "learning" is requested by a "game without frontiers" at the end. The results are hereby recognizable.The aim is that the participants acquire necessary intercultural and social competences to establish a sustainable amicable relationship or bond.
