"We are going on the way - to gain more language understanding, to other worlds of learning" As a small private, state recognized, primary school, located at the left of Niederrhein in Rheinberg, we would like a coperation with other countries during the next years. The requirements for this is English as a working language. As a bilingual school we are open the whole day, some teachers have the qualification to speak and teach English, but our aim is, to increase their level of English understanding and to create a basis for developing English as a foreign language for other teachers. Therefore they should participate in the mobility "language courses". A second part of language understanding is the teachers transmission of how to teach English as a second language. How do they do it in other countries? Here we would like to excahange experiences with Rumania with the mobility "Job-Shadowing". We are on the way to other worlds of learning - here we also want to visit partner schools with "Job-Shadowing" with different points of interest: a partner school in Denmark with artistic point of view in art and music, a second one in Norway to watch lessons with cooperative teaching methods. The students will experience a more international athmosphere at their school due to experiences the teacher have made wich brings new inputs into their lessons. With their own netbooks and etwinning the students will deepen their contacts, which are formed during the mobilities and broaden their horizonts over the limits of their own school world. As a result we hope to raise the quality in our lessons, to increase the professional satisfaction of the teachers and a higher work motivation of the students. We are happy about the international network of contacts and learn about other countries culture. We hope, based on the travel year, we will find new partner schools also for the following years. Results of our project (songs, performances or art crafts) also didactic skills will be shown on our website, in school performances and press after our evaluation.
