The project „Rich in knowledge and experience – raising the competence of the teaching staff of the Zespol Szkol Ponadgimnazjalnych of Istebna (Associated Upper Secondary Schools of Istebna) serves to upgrade the skills of the teaching staff as well as granting the European dimension of learning that is in line with the European school development plan. No less important objective of its implementation is to increase the involvement of all school students by modernizing applied methods and teaching techniques, modify content and forms of education and increase the competences of teachers in the use of modern communication remedies (ITC) and become fluent in foreign languages. With the implementation of these goals, the students of the Associated Upper Secondary School shall achieve higher results in external examinations (Matura exam, Vacational exam). This should also encourage the students to continue their educational activites in the adult life. Such prepared young people will understand the importance of education. The teachers of foreign languages and other general education subjects will take part in the project. The planned mobilities will be attended by teachers of all levels of their career advancement. These are the people who strive for a permanent raise of their own competence, seek opportunities for professional development, are involved in school life. Teachers of English and German will improve their skills by attending workshops – explore modern teaching methods, learn hot to use ICT (technology) and this will enhance the attractiveness of their classes. Equally important is the fact that they will have the opportunity to „get in touch” with a living spoken language. All the participants of the courses will become familiar with modern teaching methods and mobilizing their students. As a result, teachers will be able to make a greater impact on their students and enhance students key competences. These willl allow a group of students to achieve success at school. Such prepared students will understand the merit of continous lifelong learning and it need be, it would be easier for them to change their occupation. One of the challenges of contemporary schools (also vocational schools) is conducting classes in foreign languages. With increasing teachers competance in the methodology of English or German, this task may be accomplished. Teachers will get to know the ways to introduce a vocational vocabulary in class. Enriched vocational vocabulary will allow the students to find a job much easier in the local community that is a tourist area. It will also raise significantly their competitiveness on the domestic and foreign labour market. Better acquisition of trade vocabulary will raise graduates professional competence. They will have the chance to search the contents of the foreign sites regarding their profession. A very important consequence of participation in Erasmus+ Programme will be establishing a cooperation with teachers from other European schools (including international exchange programme). All of these factors may make the youth learn more eagerly (also foreign languages). Participation in the project will increase tolerance and European awareness of teachers and students while strengthening their national identity. Teachers' trips will be an excellent way to promote school and the region.
