Web2Work
Date du début: 1 janv. 2014,

The web2jobs project (previously known as web2work-project) will provide a 'Web 2.0’ enhanced employability learning environment for mature, unemployed adults at risk of exclusion from the labour market. This will be achieved by developing & piloting a comprehensive ‘Train the Trainer’ programme for VET & NVAE providers that will update & improve their employability provision. It will target particularly older trainers who are unfamiliar and/or uncomfortable with social media & do not currently use it to support learners. The ultimate beneficiaries (job seekers >45) are also those who are least likely to have embraced social computing as potent tool in the search for employment. The course will cover the practical use & exploitation of Web 2 technologies in employability training. It is innovative in that it will adopt a blended learning approach that fully accommodates the needs & concerns of target groups. The delivery mechanisms will comprise an open source VLE platform with learning modules delivered via a broad range of social media applications. It will be consolidated by motivational, face-to-face workshops designed to increase skills, confidence & commitment. Results: - An open source VLE platform for programme delivery- A set of on-line tools to support key elements of the learning modules- An e-repository of resources for employability & redeployment, mapped to the pedagogical framework - Technical briefs & guidance for the integration of social media applications into existing employability provision- Evaluation reports & case studies of contrasting implementations & exemplars of best practice.Impact: -lessen the digital divide by training older people to make full and productive use of social media-more trainers delivering employability & redeployment programmes that maximise the use of new technologies for accessing the labour market-more collaborative trainer communities that share best practice and resources-more adults >45 using innovative routes to labour market opportunities
