It is a given fact, in our lives, that during last decades, internet and digital information resulting from it, have evolved in such extent so that they have become the sole resource of information replacing television and newspaper's resources. This expanding is in such a profound level that if one desires to publicize his/her view or simply to inform/update his viwers, he/she usually resorts to the use of world wide web.
During the tormeted economic times which we are experiencing, thiw training aims at providing specialized theoritical and practical knowmedge and abtaining the suitable skills and abilities in Information Communication Technology (I.C.T.) and New Technologies, subsequently providing opportunities to intercept the program are ICT students with additional learning requirements from low socio-economic background and iow-leveiled vocational skills. The accompanyng teachers are either ICT educators or teachers trained in ICT.
In this program, the trainees are expected to develop knowledge regarding hosting, creating and operating as well as updating websites online. Simultaneously, participants will become efficient at utilising suitable software for creating and publicizing websites online.
In view of the particular requirements and specifities of the business environment, it is absolutely normal and expected that the difficulties of survival and development will proliferate when the individual abilities are limited due to physical or mental impairment. As particular obstacles for the development of business for people with disadilities, have been reported the lack of accessibility that characterizesthe Greek environment and the distrust manifested by the market (financiers, suppliers, customers) in association with the effectiveness of this business attempts.
All the above act as a deterrent for the disabled people, and it is very likely, as it has been statistically reported abroad, that these people, given the difficulties they face in finding a job, seek self employment through their own business.t is thus necessary and useful (educationally, socially and economically) for students with special needs, to systematically organize the vocational education and training, in order to pass successfully from school to life, work and productivity (rehabilitation).
This particular training will focus on practical exercice for acquiring profeccional experience and acquiring knowhow from local business sectors. Additionally, we will emphasize on acquiring language skills in order for the program to be smoothly conducted. Lastly, it is vital to realise activities and cultural visits which will offer to participants experiences aw well aw stimuli useful for their personality΄s development.
