Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The main aim of our project was to get practical skills and vocational knowledge in the frame of european education. Goal of the project was to allow students to participate on the vocational preparation abroad. Content of the vocational preparation in Czech republic was the assistence in the veterinary ambulances and clinics during various veterinary surgeries, the prevention and healing of the animals. Students were acquainted with new diagnostical devices, the new healing methods, they also had the chance to compare preventive and healing methods as well as the new trends in veterinary medicine. They got the practical skills while they fixed animals, gave them medicine, assisted during surgeries and they also apprised of the practical use of the machine technology during diagnostical examinations and acquired the right approach not only to the animals examined on ambulances, but also to their owners. Goal of the vocational intership in the ZOO Dvur Králové was to gain practical skills in breeding of the exotic animals, where the students did breeding and examining surgeries. Among the most precious experience for students was direct contact with animals situated in the ZOO. The intership in Spain was based on contact with the sea animals and horses. In the sea quarantine aquarium students were dedicated to the sanitation of the sea containers, assisted with the breeding and treatment of injured sea animals, especially turtles, sanitized their environment, prepared the feeding doses and took part in the edification of the public in the frame of lectures. The second working site was the horse ranch, where they got the opportunity to get to know andalusian warmbloods. On this intership they carried out breeding and nursing surgeries in the horse breeding field, improved themselves in horse riding and participated the horse „fiesta“ as well. Among everyday activities belonged cleaning and combing of the horses and their boot-trees, cleaning of the horse boxes, treatment of horse saddles and bridles as well as riding the horses themselves. All the goals we have set at the beginning were fulfilled. On the intership participated 43 students of the 3rd and 4th grade in the study field Veterinary assistant, what makes a difference of 3 more students, than was originally agreed in the agreement. The intership abroad made part of the vocational school preparation, students were evaluated by the grade based on the written assignments they were writing during their intership. Evaluation of the mentors also made part of their grade. At the end of the intership they were given certificate from the Vocational preparation and the EUROPASS – MOBILITY. Among results of the specialized intership were improvements in their vocational skills, opportunity to improve in foreign languages and meeting new people either from the professional field, or students from various countries as well as the exchange of experiences, opportunity to be employed abroad and overall development of personalities of the chosen students. The intership abroad allowed them to refine their analytical thinking, creativity and ability to manage unpredictable circumstances and solve challenging situations and problems. The school actively presents the possibility to participate on such interships abroad during various occasions like „The day of the open house“, workshops, presentations of high schools etc.
